Welcome

We are the owners of a 1.4 hectare block of land on the Central Coast.

The site includes areas of rainforest which have been badly overrun by non-native plants. Our project is to restore the rainforest and to build an environmentally sustainable house on the site.

This blog records the bush regeneration work we are undertaking and the progress on building the house.

Photos from week starting 12th July

Visible progress has picked up again this week with the first coat of paint going onto the external  walls and most of the internal walls.

Under the tarpaulin are the tiles for the internal and external tiles (the tiler starts on Monday)

Also, after a considerable amount of thought we have decided not to remove the storm beading that was fixed between the roof soffits and the walls.  The consequences in terms of time and cost outweighed the aesthetic benefits.
