If a building is about the things that you see when it is finished then the house really started this week with the blockwork for the east retaining wall being laid.

Not much change on the rest of the site.  Hopefully they will start on the swimming pool walls next

Photos from week starting 18th October

Progress is really starting to pick-up now that the weather is a bit more reliable.  The concrete has been poured in all the piles and footing for the east side retaining wall has been completed.

Photos from week starting 11th October

It is difficult to see from the photos how much progress was made this week as it has been all about boring the holes for the remaining piles.  The piles are socketed 1m into the rock and are between 2m and 3m deep.

Unfortunately there were heavy showers every day this week and consequently the ground was too soft to do any work, apart from installing some pipes for the swimming pool.

This week we achieved a major milestone with the first concrete being poured.
